You're suggestion that as soon as the car get on the ramp it's speed would double implies that the car can do 0-100kph in 0 seconds. Now that would be impressive. In reality, the moment the car's driving tires bump up onto the ramp, they'll spin. At that moment the car's driver just has to get off the gas and move to the brakes.
By the way, I was having dinner at a nice restaurant in Salt Lake City, Utah on night years ago when a group of people came in and were seated at a table nearby. One guy just stood out from the bunch because real people just aren't that ludicrously "handsome". It was your Night Rider dude in the flesh. Probably on a ski vacation.
