Atlanta cold has never even thought about being in the same ballpark as Ottowa's -25C. Here VERY cold is 10F, and that's a pretty rare occurence. We generally consider it cold here at around 0C. Probably laughable to someone who deals with the temps you're talking about.
Of course, when it gets warm here, it REALLY gets warm. They don't call it Hotlanta for nothing.
