First, my beloved red 88 900TC. I call it my hotrod project. My summer ride photo is on the website. Lots of go-fast stuff. A couple of years ago I was going to run it at Pocono with the local Porsche club. My friend Jim Ruocco got me in as an also ran. Figured I could shame some 911's and turned the boost up too high. Funny thing, I blew the 150,000 mile head gasket on the way to the track. The new pistons, fresh 2.1 head and machined block sit in the corner. (((I heard from some old hotod guru that the longer the block sits, the better it gets.)))
Second (in the next bay) my beloved E-Production 65 MGB. Started road racing last year. The Saab enduro racing was getting a little hard on my ageing body. (((first, let me say, circle track racing is a LOT less expensive than road racing, lots of three wide fun))) I LOVED racing the Saab enduro car at Riverside MA but they closed the track. I bought the MG because I allways wanted to race one. (My first car was a 66 MGB) Did my SCCA driving school (only one because of my previous experence). Ran races at Lime Rock and Watkins Glen. Then I lost the engine at Loudon. Ahhh, another project. .................................................................................................................................................................sorry, got four bays to go but, gotta go...................TGIF
