"New" Jetta GLI

Along with the intro of the R32 Golf at the NAIAS, VW announced an updated Jetta GLI. I'm just mentioning this because we recently discussed the older golf/jetta where "lighter is better." As you may know the current GLI comes with the VR6. Looks cool to me. Anyway:
New for 2004 is a sporty and value-packed new Jetta GLI model that goes on sale early this spring. This new 2004 Jetta GLI harkens back to Volkswagen’s traditional Jetta GLI theme by offering a special sporty equipment package in a four-cylinder equipped Jetta. The GLI is powered by the automaker’s award-winning 1.8 T engine that produces 180 hp and comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission, 18-inch BBS alloy wheels, performance tires, a power sunroof, Monsoon sound system, lowered sports suspension, rear spoiler, front and rear valance, side skirts, red GLI badges in front and rear, darkened headlights and taillights and more. Inside the new GLI, you will find special GLI Recaro sports seats, alloy interior treatments (pedals, foot rest, door sills) gray and black interior treatment, a three-spoke perforated leather wrapped steering wheel with gray stitching, and much more.
The MSRP price for the fully equipped 2004 Jetta GLI, which goes on sale later this year, is $23,800.
