Just my 2 cents. If you can find a used Bryston amp it will sound better than NAD. Of course you'll also need a preamp, but the cost won't be more than 2 monoblocks(which also require a preamp).Brystons are fairly bulletproof and have a 25 year warranty which is tied to the amp,not the owner. So a 1980 amp is still covered. These amps will rock and do the acoustic music too. I'd recommend the 3b or 4b model depending on room size. If you ever do go home theater, you can run preouts from the receiver to the amp to power your front speakers. Tube amps are great for the "you are there" feeling, but most aren't powerful enough to do real justice to rock. Canuck Audio Mart is a good site for finding used equipment in your area. I've bought some equipment through their website.
