I can't speak too knowledgeably about others, but I can tell you about Danger/TMobile's Hiptop/Sidekick. It's a cell phone and an Internet data device, however the design wasn't to try to squeeze internet stuff into an existing format of a cell phone, but it was designed from the ground up to be a great data device. I had been looking at this device for a long time, but held off on getting it until they released SSH telnet for it (a fancy way of saying an application that allows me to connect to the TSN server remotely in an encrypted manner). This allows me to do TSN server administration from anywhere. If I sit it down on my desk on top of an index card, I can see that it fits within that size. It's thicker than a regular cell phone because it has a nice color screen that's about twice the size of a normal cell phone screen and it swivels open to reveal a QWERTY keyboard. It has the camera thing, games, email, a special AOL email application if you use AOL mail, an AOL Instant Messenger client, Terminal, Address book, appointments calendar, reminders, all that PDA stuff, games like Asteroids and Football and Snowboarding... and yes, to answer your question, it has a real full blown browser that supports HTTPS. I was bored at a family dinner last week and did some browsing on Amazon and made a wireless purchase. TSN chat works wonderfully on it too ;-). To be honest, I got it 100% for its data device usefulness and I don't use the phone at all... I still have my Nextel phone with the Connect Direct stuff which works out well since most of my family has the walkie talkie thing too...
Anyway, here's a link you can check out for more info. It's been a really fun device to own these past six months and very useful too..
Oh, and it was only $20 after rebate from Amazon.com. I got the unlimited data service plan for $30/mo.
