I appreciate any help on this,
but I drove my new to me Suzuki GR650 Tempter all around this weekend, and found out the hardway, that the bike ins't keeping a charge on the battery.
So, little research, I found its most likely the Stator (similar to alternator)
Now, giving that this is an old bike, and the stator part ins't extremely cheap, is it possible that I could get away with just cleaning the wiring of any corrosian?
Or would it be better to just go ahead and buy the part just as a precaution?
Also, if I go with just cleaning, how can I tell if the bike is charging the battery? If I measure at the battery, should I get a reading of higher output than with the bike off?
Thanks for any help.
Its kinda fun to have something to tinker with since my 9-3 has been running without trouble.
