i posted back a little bit about thoughts on how to move my 6x8' wooden shed.
well, it's done. it was easier than i thought it would be. a buddy came over and brought a few things i lacked. namely: two wheel dolly made from wheel burrow wheels. two hand carts (one with inflated tires, the other with hard plastic tires).
we jacked up the shed (floor jack) and blocked it. then placed the dolly about one-third of the way back and blocked those tires (inclined yard). then we jacked the other side, removed the footings, and dropped it onto the two hand carts. the hardest part was rotating the shed 90 degrees for its new location. but once it was completely turned, it rolled across the yard like a shopping cart.
we then used pipes on deck planks to move it the last few feet up against the fence. also used long pipes as levers to lift one side and force it to slide.
opened up the yard a lot as the shed was in a very usable area originally, and now sits under the tree up against the retaining wall.
next week the deck goes in...
