I don't have a Toyota, but here's some general thoughts.
Is it a cable or hydraulic clutch? Cable clutch - the cable has stretched or it's beginning to fray. That makes the cable longer, & the auto-adjuster is only set up to move in the opposite direction. If it's hydraulic, it probably needs bleeding. Maybe the master cylinder is worn out if bleeding doesn't help.
Then again, it could be the clutch disk is beginning to get warped; it's dragging on the flywheel & pressure plate.
