This could be worth $1000 to $3500 -- Your car absolutely has this if they need to fix the unibody/frame and can have this if any paint work is done.
To quote the FAQ I linked:
Inherent Diminished Value assumes optimal repair quality has been achieved and is defined as the amount by which the resale value of a repaired vehicle has been reduced simply because the subject vehicle now has a significant damage history. “Inherent Diminished Value” is the most widely recognized and accepted form of Diminished Value. It is also the basis upon which any supplemental form of Diminished Value would be added. A common “Supplemental” form of Diminished Value is “Repair Related Diminished Value”
Since Allstate will work with you to achieve optimal repair quality this is the ONLY type of diminished value Allstate will pay. You will need to have an Independent appraiser do the DV analysis and submit it to Allstate -- The claim can only be made after the repairs are done. Once you submit your DV report from an appraiser (of which you have to pay for out of your pocket) they will inspect the vehicle and either agree or negotiate the appraiser's DV amount. Once you agree they will cut you a check to you and your lien holder.
Thats the process in a nutshell. I STRONGLY ADVISE YOU DO THIS. Allstate will not tell you about this! You must pursue this on your own. If you ask about the process they will tell you what you need to do which is what I outlined above.
