Drove 9-2X Linear and Aero at Saab Proving Grounds

Yesterday I went to the Saab Proving Grounds in Temple, TX to test out the new 9-2X. They had the Linear and the Aero, along with a Mini Cooper, Volvo S40 2.4, S40 T5, Acura RSX, and a Jetta 1.8T. All of them were automatics.
I was impressed with the exterior looks of the 9-2X - it definitely looks like a Saab to me. The interior of the 9-2X was upscale, and I liked the seats.
We drove all of the cars around a large track in a parking lot that was marked off by cones. The 9-2's had a huge advantage on the two slaloms because of their AWD - great control, and I didn't feel like I was going to lose either. Can't say the same about the Jetta and the RSX, both of those felt out of their league at the same speed. The Volvo S40's felt too heavy, neither one felt sporty.
The Mini was the most fun to drive out of all the cars. I was very impressed with the acceleration out of its 115 hp engine. The interior of the Mini was the least subdued. I'm not sure why Saab included the Mini in the comparison, it's not really that comparable. This car is fun to whip around the corners in.
The Aero was my 2nd favorite car to drive, because of the engine performance, and its ability to stay on the track at any speed.
