Does anybody know how to dismantle an alternator? I am in the middle of painting all my engine parts and want to paint the cover of my alternator. I have the pulley and cover off on that side. Plus I have the bearings off too. But the side where all the wires goto (that side) I have every nut and bolt off inside and out. But I'm stuck with the spindle still hooked to something (other cover I think.) I can't see where I'm getting hung up. I'm trying not to bust it up too much. This is my spare, but it was working when I started. And trying to keep it that way!

I'd love to take a picture to illustrate where I'm wrong but do not have a camera since my girls busted it.

Is there a DIY page anybody knows of?

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!!
