Unless you are extremely attached to your Allez, it should be cheaper to sell this bike and buy one with a triple. Yes, your bar-end shifters will accomodated a triple however, the front shifter does not have distinct clicks for each chainring. A front bar-end is always friction. You will need a new front AND REAR derailleur along with the crankset, BB and chain. Your current rear will not take up all the extra slack in the chain when you shift to the smallest chainring. At that point, you may as well replace the shift cables too. Chainline issues might crop up depending on the age of your Allez. I am assuming it is relatively old since you are using bar-ends. Definitely check with a bike shop before you start buying parts and see what they will quote you.
My suggestion is ebay it and buy a nice replacement on ebay or local bike shop. But if you have a soft spot in your heart for this frameset, do the switch and enjoy a brand new shifting system. Hope this helps!
