Done the trip a ton of times...used to live in Boston. Now in ATL...84 to 81 is by far the best route. Not to mention much more scenic. There are parts of 81 under construction but no tenought owrry about. Just did the trek less than a month ago. The shanendoah region on 81 is great. Give a salute to my home town in NY on your way by...exit 3 on 84...Middletown.

95 is an ugly ride IMHO.
