Just a quick list...
Pros of making the switch:
- 9-3 is more programable (door locks, follow-me-home lights, etc)
- 9-3 has less rattles
- 9-3 has a little more precise fit and finish
- 9-3 is a little more current in terms of parts availablity (I'm in a place with VERY FEW pre '99 Saabs)
- 9-3 has 60/40 split rear seat with armrest pass though
Cons of making the switch:
- 9000 is larger and more spacious
- 9-3 is less powerful (but still pretty quick!)
- 9000 is much more unique
- 9-3 seats are too firm; miss those Aero seats!
Of course, it depends on the condition of both cars. Before buying my current car, I test drove two IDENTICAL cars on paper, but they were vastly different in terms of condition. Get plenty of pictures before you agree on anything.
