This will be a three day tour. The drive will on Friday will start at the Prospect Mountain Diner on State Route 9 in Lake George. For those of you that have been to NYSOC events in the past you should know where it is. It is off of Exit 21 of I-87 on the Adirondack Northway. You can use this map to get directions. You should arrive at the diner around 8-8:30 so we can try to get on the road by 9am SHARP! There is a lot of driving to do.
It will go around Lake George, stopping at Historic Crown Point for a rest stop. Then from there it is on to Burlington Vermont. We will head up the Champlain Islands into Canada. Please make sure all of you and your passengers bring a valid driver's license or ID and they ask for ID from all passengers at the border crossing in these times. The first day will end in Montreal about 4-5 PM.
We will be staying at a hotel named Hotel Ruby Foo's. You have to love that name. The hotel is located out of the downtown area but just one block away from the Metro train and most importantly they have lots of parking. It is reasonably priced. I am currently trying to work on a better room rate. Upon arrival we may do a group dinner then you are on your own for the evening to do as you like.
On Saturday we will just spend a day to hang out and do what you like. We can try to organize a group dinner if you like. At this stage everything is up in the air.
Sunday we will gather for breakfast and hopefully get on the road by 9 am. We will drive back down to the US, crossing the border at Cornwall Ont. then through the Western Adirondacks ending back in Lake George NY.
