Downloaded it over a week ago on my laptop at home running XP Home. Works well. First crash ('puter locked up, or so she said) was today, and it was related to launching an Adobe PDF from IE, and not me using it.
I like the pop-up blocker, as it even blocks the "install" program popups that a certain email provider uses occasionally. Google's popup blocker always missed those.
Also, within Outlook Express, pictures downloaded from websites, etc. do not come up, which alleviates my need to put my 'puter offline while viewing mail. If I want to see the pictures, all I have to do is click the "linebar?!" at the top to allow them. Same on popups in IE. Works like a champ, and I haven't even looked at all its features (where is the time?!) and/or attempted to customize it.
I know, I am looking at switching to Firefox, etc., but for now, things are running great, and have been, for me. IBM and others have warned not to install, but it is because they are looking to ensure that certain "core" programs within the (meaning general) company run appropriately after the install, as there are quite a few programs that will not function after the SP2 install. But this is the same with a lot of "patches," and SP2 seems to be more than just a simple "plug" for a few holes. They do list the known programs/games on their site if worried about it. Good luck to all who takes the leap. It has been worth it for me.
