As a current Bostonian enjoying his last month here before setting out to greener pastures in San Diego (green because they leave their sprinklers on ALL THE TIME), I'm taking special note of everything. The crisp air just settled in the other night. Nothing like a cool night fog in Boston with the smell of fireplaces in the air, the Citgo sign lights flaring through the mist, the old Hancock blinking, and so on and so forth.
The new 93 tunnel is nice (the severe plunge at the entrance is fun), but the new Pike extension tunnel out under Fort Point is the best. Most of all though, they finally repaved Storrow Drive. Nothing like a smooth, sliding drive in the fall down the Storrow 500 with no potholes or gaps.
