Found a good floor jack.

I posted a rant a while ago about a Craftsman 3 ton floor jack that had failed. A new hydraulic assembly for it from Sears was $89.40 + $15 to ship. A new 3 ton jack at Sears is $99.99.
Harbor frieght had some interesting stuff, but I did not care for some design features. $59.99 for 3 ton with a large cup style lifting pad that would trash a car.
Checked out Sams Club. Michelin brand 3.5 ton, fast raise in one stroke, large rubber faced contact pad. $59.27 Very robust construction. So i am happy and Sears did not get any more of my money for something that has no expectation of standing up to casual home use. Yes it is heavy. The old one goes to the scap metal dealer. So a better jack for less than the cost of a Sears jack or just the service part.
