This week I took the Geo to change oil at the local Valvoline place. It has little to lose, 206k miles :-). I ask for 10W30 maxlife, it seems to burn less of the thicker stuff. Two times in a row they put 5w30 maxlife; time #3 I sat by the guy and while the sales order said 10w30 maxlife, he read the order which said (oil used last) and grabs, you guessed it, 5w30 again. I pointed out 10w30 and he did it.
A couple minutes later he brings the dipstick up 3/4ths full and tries to convince me he put what is in the spec (4.1). I know it's 4.25. I asked him to put 4.25, he did, came out full. Sheesh.
