Good lord, I hope not. Go to http://v8sho.com if you dare... The original v6 SHO motor was, apart from the valve seals, a pretty good piece. The v8 that Ford replaced it with was a disaster, as was their treatment of the ensuing fiasco. There is currently a class action pending to try to get Ford to begin to make it right. As I understand it, the cams come loose from the cam gears, and since it is an interference engine, it trashes itself.
