A friend and I were debating today on the locking system on my 89' c900SPG. I was telling him how it is impossible(to my knowledge) for me to lock my keys in my car.
Based on the fact that I can not lock a door if it is adjar. I need the door to be closed, and to manually twist the lock. Keep in mind that it has automatic locks,
SO, his argument is that the option sucks, in that he calls it inconvenient. He stated that he would rather hit a lock inside his car while in it, or standing outside it with the door open to lock all the doors. He states that it is inconvenient to stand out side, with the doors locked and fiddle around with a key.
His example being, holding groceries, he'd rather lock the door before, pick up groceries out of car and close the door with his butt, as apposed to me having to set down my groceries and lock it with a key.
To my knowledge SAAB has been doing this atleast since 1975 as my 99 had the same feature, without the autolocks.
I just tell my friend that the next time he locks his keys in his Dodge Intrepid I'll be laughing it up, I direct quote from him "Im never buying a SAAB based on that"
Tell me what you think,
DAnH
