A lot of people will tell you that the car should be aligned after installing new springs and shocks. I am not the most mechanically inclined person, but did the shocks/springs installation with a friend who is a mechanic. We didn't need to do the alignment afterwards; I believe he told me that the installation didn't affect aspects of the car which would knock the alignment out. Indeed, I have had no alignment issues and have been driving with this setup for 1 year now.

A certain degree of negative camber is desireable - this is very true. When cornering (causing the body to roll), more of the tire keeps in contact with the road as a result of the negative camber. If I recall correctly, negative camber of less than 2 degrees should be within specification. If this is really concerning you, have a mechanic take a look and give you his opinion.

Tire wear will be a good indicator of your alignment and camber adjustment needs. If there is a problem, if should become obvious pretty quickly. I can only speak for myself when I say these upgrades have not caused any problems in this regard. I would be interested to hear if anyone can confirm/deny the alignment question for both of us!

p.s. this question would be better asked on the 9-5 board - lots of knowledgeable people there.
