true you get double miles all the time, but the card costs $135 per year annual fee. They give you a companion ticket good for one year, but there are blackout dates around all the holidays so you can't use it at the most desirable times. It is also next to impossible to go anywhere you want to go for the standard 25,000 miles price - you have to pay 50,000 miles. The scenario where it works well is you fly a lot on Delta for business, you can buy your own ticket and expense it, and you rack up $25,000 a year in expenses you can charge on the card. The last couple of years none of that has applied to me and the card is next to useless - I am considering switching.
