As you have a 5-channel power amp, you could use the Y and *SPLIT* the L from your preamp into two L inputs and put each of the Y to two separate channels of your power amp. Do the same for the R channel. Now you can power four speakers, two speakers for your L and two speakers for you R.
That is you have two power channels from your power amp as your L and two power channels for your R. Of course you now need four speakers for the four power channels of your power amp.
If you do this, make sure the speakers for L and R are in phase or one speaker would be sucking and the other pushing and you end up with some weird sound 8-).
Of course, you could use the remaining channel of the 5-channel amp by combining the L and R using various combo of the Y adapters for a center channel speaker as well.
