Driving in deeper snow, spoiler damage

Took the Aero wagon out for a spin tonight. Some places had deeper snow still left on the roads. How easily can you damage the front spoiler (03 if makes a difference)? I assume anything other than ice is ok if it is just a few inches above the spoiler. I tried to slow down if I saw a deeper strip coming. I think they should have reinforced the spoiler for snow plowing purposes. It is a Swedish car after all and would have made another neat feature for these once in a while blizzards.
Little slipping in the slushier stuff with the WRs but only enough for the ESP to activate. Let up on the gas and all was fine. Completely linear braking. Tons of stuck cars on the local streets. Even some heavy trucks were having trouble going and stopping. Winter mode made getting going easier by keeping the throttle down. It is a nice feature for a night like tonight. I suppose the newer cars can be left in third manually.
Sometimes I had to reverse a little to help the car pull through. This may have been because I was pushing some snow.
SUV drivers are unbelievably careless. Shame on them.
Saw a pack of snowmobiles on the public roads. Darn funny sight for Long Island.
Enjoy the winter wonderland.
