Not much detail about the ring, but I've seen divorces close up that involve businesses. (co-workers and family)
If the business is involved (if you own any of your business), things can get messy and drag the divorce out and cost lots of money. Divorces get messy and dragged out without business, and having a business makes it even worse. You're best to just settle things quickly, don't be proud, don't try to keep many valuables, don't try to too stubornly defend your correct interpretations of ownership of common property, don't argue over minor things, etc.. It's just money and you can't take it with you. If you want to keep your business interests, come to an agreement early on that. I've seen former couples haggle over the value of business interests for a couple years. I've also seen former couples as close sharesholders in a small business that made continued operation of the business a big bone of contention and weakened the business.
I really hope things go as smoothly as possible for you too, which probably will never be described as smooth.
I really hope to never be in that position myself, but if I were, I'd probably just give away everything to various people and start with a clean slate if the situation weren't curable. Then I'd sit back and watch other people fight over money.
