My closest friend bought a slightly used (14K miles) '89 Acura Legend in 1990. Still has it, with 265K on it. Has done nothing to the car except for wear items like brakes, exhaust, tires, etc. Had the seats re-upholstered. It's rusting out now, though, and is headed for the crusher. But the engine and tranny are still strong. I drove it a couple times. Nice enough car. Felt heavy on the road. Great engine. Seats were mediocre.

He also has a 1998 Saab 900 S Coupe (turbo) he bought new. That now has 170K+ on it and is in his daughter's hands. That has has needed a couple of trannies, but it still runs like a rocket.
