I've had a few Nokias as personal phones, but the I got a business phone a few years back. I had a samsung, then a Nokia. After about 2 years the Nokia had a problem or two, plus I switched from Sprint to AT&T. I had 2 choices when I went to AT&T, a low end Nokia and a Motorola V505 (GSM, Camera, etc.) I went for the features and got the V505. From day 1 I didn't like the interface, the phonebook search, the fact that you couldn't set to ring & vibrate. That and it was flimsy. I had 3 of them in under a year due to warranty issues. Basically I viewed it as the ergonomically poor american luxury car. Sure it had gadgets, but...
I dropped that phone on an airplane a week ago and the screen crapped out. A 4 foot drop killed it! So I put in a request and my Nokia 3120 was fedexed out the next day. No camera, but it's small, durable, 100% intuitive, and all my old chargers work with it. I think Nokia's are the SAAB of cellphones. Well engineered, long lasting, stylish, SIMPLE to use (no need for a manual), and they don't release a different charger for each new model.
Oh, I put the numbers on the SIM card from the old phone. As soons as I powered up the new Nokia the phone book was right there. Couldn't be simpler!!
Bottom line, you drive a SAAB and appreciate Scandinavian engineering... Go for a NOKIA next time!
