I think the tan or in Saab speak, sand interior looks very good with the steel gray. I think the silver sand combo is a little goofy, but still OK it's just with silver the preference for the charcoal is even greater than with the steel gray for the contrast.
The current 9-3SS' have gray or parchment interior, and one could make the same case, the gray interior goes much better with the gray and especially with the silver, but lately I've been selling steel gray cars with the parchment interior and I now think it looks good.
I call the silver/sand, or gray/sand or gray/parchent combo a Palm Springs or a Florida kinda' color, like someone with a bright flower shirt and light pants.
