I used the previous $5,500 and calculated a lease using a Chase rate and residual and it still wasn't "competitive". I just re-did it with the $7k and a $30k 9-2X Aero winds up being about $325ish + tax at the ad terms which is 36 mos, 12k and $2,999 due at signing. So yes you can leaese, but the 36 mos 12k residual is only 41% and the standard money factor is .00260 or about a 6.24% equivalent. The 60 mos purchase payment is only about $50 a month more.
Saab Financial won't lease a 9-2X with the $7k incentive, even at standard SFSC rates 'cause the residuals are promotional residuals they say and no promotional leases combined with the incentive, so you lose the $6k of the $7k as you still get the Hot Button Bonus $1k. Similar story with the 9-2X Linear, you lose $3,500 in incentives by leasing and it just doesn't make sense even with the super low 0.3% equivalent rate.
I read that payments not due yet, but pre-paid will be refunded. Check with Saab Financial to confirm. They refer even to pre-paid lessee's getting their unused payments back. The day a payment becomes due it cannot be waived, so do it BEFORE your payment date.
