Flew and drove a rental from Norfolk VA to Lynchburg then to Washington area.
I really found the conditions different. The country side was very pleasant to drive though, but speeds were 55mph almost everywhere that we went. It all seemed to make one appreciate the virtues of the interstate system.
Some of the roads were very attractive to drive through and something that I would look forward to driving through again. But I have to feel that Saabers in some of those areas must feel very confined with those speed limits.
I am guessing that many areas of the east coast will have some of the same problems with hills/mountains and river valleys that make for lots of attractive roads with reduced speeds.
So thats a perspective from a KS flat lander. My wife felt like she was driving though a different country.
