A lot of the article's comments are subjective and certainly open to criticism. But, the stopping distance is not subjective (assuming the same test driver and similar conditions), and certainly not something SAAB should be proud of.
Of interest is another article on the Pontiac Grand Prix in the same edition. It seems that Pontiac has found a way of taming torque steer and severe understeer in high horsepower/torque applications in front wheel drive cars. I wonder if this technolgy would work for the 9-3 and 9-5? Aeros with 300+ HP & torque, via revised turbos would certainly make some of us smile!
Also, C& D's final comment regarding their review of the Chevy Trailblazer SS is worth noting. Maybe that engine will make it to the 9-7 someday.
