This according to the WSJ Online:
"Registrations of new Ford cars fell 4.6% in September, cutting the company's market share for the month to 11.5% from 12.3% a year earlier. So far this year, Ford's European market share has fallen to 10.9% from 11.3% a year earlier.
That contrasts with the 3.6% increase posted by GM, as its Saab, Chevrolet, Opel and Vauxhall brands launched key new models. The company's European market share for September was slightly higher, at 11.3% compared with 11.1% a year earlier. For the first nine months of the year, however, GM's European market share remains unchanged from last year, at 10.7%, according to the European car makers' group."
