Yes, I went to Forno when I owned a 2000 9-3. My experience there was not great. Although I liked old Jim Forno a lot, I found the service half of the shop to be very annoying to deal with. On more than one occasion they wasted my time by not telling me over the phone things I needed to know to get warranty work done once I arrived at the shop. Their rates were high, they often did not have parts in stock, and a general level of arrogance came my way every time I went there. I started getting the 9-3 serviced elsewhere (see below) and there were times when my mechanic called Forno for a part and got the 3rd degree about which Saab custmer DARED to bring his car to another shop. No longer own the 9-3 and I have no fond memory of Forno.
If you live in the Binghamton area I strongly suggest Vestal Import Service (formerly Potter Auto). It isn't a Saab shop per se but I get my 1993 900s serviced there and they do *great* work. They serviced my Volvo and care for my Toyota too -- they even helped me sell the Volvo. Mike Dunlop is the owner, he's a great guy with an amazing range of knowledge, including of course Saab stuff.
