Most car chargers will overcharge a battery of this size. Net result: shortened battery life. A 2-amp setting might be OK if you stop once it's at full charge. A better choice if you don't mind spending a bit is to buy a "smart charger". Unitrode (and maybe others) makes a chip for controlling this process. There are 1-amp and 5-amp model chargers available at http://www.a-aengineering.com. For your battery size the 1-amp model would be great. No doubt there are other products but this is one I use. There are DIY versions of this charger out there, too, if you're into electronics at all.
The web has vast resources on care and feeding of batteries. One that has been recommended to me by people who know lots more than I do is http://www.powerstream.com/tech.html. Also see the deep cycle battery faq, currently at http://www.uuhome.de/william.darden/.
