I think a lot of owners have found that the cup holder invites damage to the radio/ CD player since it tilts the cup backwards toward the electronics , and leaves openings for the liquid to get in. My car was a couple of weeks old when I discovered this, and I just don't use the dashboard cupholder for that reason. Use the one between the seats. It's posssible that Saab is aware of this, so don't hesitate to complain.
Also, since it's a CPO, and you say it was that way when you bought it, they should be taking responsibility for the condition of the car, since they warranteed it.
