Okay, my '87 900T convertible is for sale in the classifieds but the likelyhood of selling it this time of the year is slim. Like a fool I sold my '83 900T (mint condition) earlier this year. My other "car" is a Chevy Trailblazer gas guzzling beast. Last winter I drove the '83 900 all winter long and it did great. I don't really have the funds to buy another 900 for a winter car unless I find a really good (cheap) deal.
My question is this: my '87 convertible is nearly perfect as far as the body goes - no rust, top is in mint condition (protected by Ragg Topp protectants). I have mint condition Super Inca wheels with summer performance tires but also have a set of "manhole" wheels in near perfect condition I can mount all seasons or snows onto. But is this a good idea?
Will salt and that liquid calcium chloride they are using on the roads now kill my baby if I drive her in the winter? The prior two winters I've owned her she has not gone out in the snow or even often in the rain.
Any advice?
