I see two options. It will never be like new. You can cover it with something. Perhaps a clear coat that will stick to the aluminum to prevent corrosion and make it easy to clean the area if it gets dirty. Or you can ignore it and pretend it is a battle scar. The spot may corrode, although I would think pretty slowly if you keep it inside. Once a layer of corrosion forms, no more corrosion will occur unless you clean the corrosion off. I doubt such a little bit of corrosion will cause any structural weakness in the aluminum. Maybe give Trek a call and see what they recommend as a clear coat sealant. It should be compatible with the paint and sticker that is still there. Be happy it wasn’t the Saab which would rust.
