Don't know that Roxio program, or what you have in mind - all images, or mixed with video - but in general: Considering that whatever DVD program you're using will compress all the images and video into mpg2, you'll want to use the largest source image file in terms of resolution, but matched in size (H x W) to the final output. Typical DV frame size is 720 x 480 pixels/points, which means that if you're filling the entire video screen, the picture has to be edited to that specific size, or some border space will have to be created on either the sides or top/bottom, depending on the image material (portrait, landscape). If you're going to place several images on the screen at the same time, each image will have to be made smaller in size, but always keep the original resolution. In general, any full screen image above 200dpi for DVD-R purposes is a waste of pixels.
