Wal-Mart Supertech synthetic story

Intrigued by what I read on here about the $11 5 quart container of Supertech synthetic oil and it's A3 spec, I paid a vist to the local Wal-Mart to see if it was available. There on the shelf was a selection, increased in price to just over $12. To it's left was the synthetic competition from Quaker State and Mobil 1 costing at least twice as much for the same amount. I was mainly curious if I could read any differences in the specifications standards between the Supertech and Mobil 1. While reading, a woman walked up and let me know she too was interested in the Supertech and wondered why the price difference, asking if I knew why and did that mean less quality compared to Mobil 1. I told her that specification standards don't change for each manufacturer. According to the label, the specs were a match. She ended up choosing the Supertech based on that alone.
