0% Saab "72 hr" deal is over..... The GMAC approval computer isn't too picky about occupations. Even without a "job", can you declare an income? Are you technically still employed by your former employer? Does your spouse, if any, work? With "A" credit that includes previous comparable installment/auto loans and a good down payment, most of the time the computer approves the loan automatically, no human is involved directly and no verification of income is required.
Although the 0% is over, that program was in lieu off generous Saab incentives. So now Saab is offering generous incentives, more generous on the 9-3 2.0T sedans and 9-3 Aero sedans and SportCombis, combined with 5.9% financing for 60 mos, which is a darned good auto rate lately.
There are also very competitive leases. The small bonus on the 9-3 2.0T and the upgrade to Arc equipment levels makes the $299 lease with only $2,499 due at signing one of the best Saab bargains ever.
I've never been sold on 0% offers, especially if it's in lieu of generous incentives. The benefit seems easy to calculate, the savings of the finance charge, but the true benefit is only if you keep the 0% contract the entire term, which is rare for most buyers.
