No losers, it's all very cool..... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Decisions Decisions..., Allen in N.O., Fri, 25 Aug 2006 09:27:14 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Long as your not getting an Aero the MCE changes aren't that dramatic. The '01 has the nicest interior wood and hence the nicest interior. The '02 wood is lightwood, but I think you can darken it up quite a few shades with polish.
Speaking of interior colors, wadda'bout exterior colors and the exterior interior combination? Color and overall condition would play a big part for me. For my wife color would be the major factor, you did say it was for your wife?
The '02 Arc V6 with the visibility (touring?) package is intriguing. Xenons, park assist and rain sensing wipers (wasn't one of those left out on the early '02s?) in addition to standard vented seats, will make you the techno king and the envy of your car friends, if just any Saab 9-5 doesn't do that all by itself. Are the Arc's standard vented seats important in your climate?
Are you an old Saaber? Then perhaps the Linear's four cylinder turbo will hold a special attraction, and the best fuel economy too.
The '02s have the MCE, mid cycle enhancement vs the '01, but those are very subtle things mechanically ('cept for the visibility package items) and cosmetically and most prefer the older dark burled walnut dash to the newer light wood inside.
It's all good and cool.....
