When I lived in NJ my Cingular service did the same thing. One day, everything was fine and the next, service was so terrible it was unuseable. It was wierd, they lost all my saved VM's and all of a sudden the service was terrible. I called their help desk a bunch, went through the phone troubleshooting, etc. waited about two more weeks, and dropped the service.
