These foam products can be used to bond things to prevent vibration.

I have a furnace that is 1" away from a poured concrete foundation wall. I put foam behind the furnace to 'stick it' to the wall. This has eliminated some of the low frequency air flow turbulence induced vibrations and has been very effective. You might also be able to stick it to the floor and stick a cold air plenum to the wall and/or floor as well.

With our sump pump, the discharge pipe runs up along a concrete wall. When the pump runs, vibrations get into the structure of the house where it passes though framing above. I bonded the pipe to the concrete wall to block much of those vibrations.
