Hello folks,
Is there some rational explanation for the fact that it takes my local Saab garage -- one of the main dealers in Switzerland -- SO long to obtain parts? Last summer I ordered a set of spring clips and pins to hold the brake pads in the calipers on my 1995 NG900. Not such a weird request, I thought, and probably parts which are shared with other Saab models. Whatever, it took about five to six weeks to obtain those. Right now, I'm waiting for an auto gearbox mount for the same car, ordered last November (2006). OK, let's allow a bit of delay for Christmas & New Year, but there's still no sign of that part either, and the garage couldn't even hazard at guess at when it might show up. So before I go and complain, is there something I should know? Like a major industrial dispute in Sweden? A Saab decision to stop catering for "old" models? Or am I just being unreasonable in thinking that in 2007, when you can ship a whole engine around the world in 48hrs, a seven week+ delay for orders like these is a bit much, to put it mildly?
Regards,
Andy
