Hello everyone,
My name is Chadwick, I'm a 19 year old college student at WVU and I work on Saabs a bit on the side for a few local clients I have (small maintenance items mostly). I have a 94 9000 aero, and the cost of ownership would not be possible if it were not for this site. This weekend I decided to go ahead and take care of my seeping headgasket with nothing but guidance from TSN and especially Anders when I gave him a call (the Haynes manual would have been more useful to use if I tore the pages out and used them as rags to get the grease off of my hands.) The only problem I encountered was when I pulled the head it snagged the rear timing chain guide and broke a piece about an inch and a half long off. I also had a little trouble setting timing, but nothing major with guidance from this site, Justinhifi, and Anders.
I definately appreciated all the advice and feedback all of you give, and I'd definately suggest everyone do the HG as a DIY!
Regards,
Chad
