My Indy and Eeuroparts, a story - only in a Saab...

My wifes check engine light came on Thursday afternoon in her 2001 9-3 on her way home. I happen to go past the diner on my way to work where my Indy Saab mechanic, Dave Dickenson, has breakfast every Friday morning. I called him and asked if he could bring his TechII with him and check the codes if I swung by on my way the office. No problem, if it was nothing he'd reset it and if it was serious enough he'd swap cars with me and take my wifes back to the shop.
He scanned it and it show a problem with the Hooter valve so he reset it. I said I'd drive it and see if it reoccurred. By now two other Saab owners and customers had gathered in the parking lot and we chatted for awhile. As I was getting ready to leave David hands me 1 1/2 dozen farm fresh eggs from his sons over producing chickens. Awesome!
That afternoon the check engine light came on again and I could hear the bypass valve groaning when I lifted off the throttle. When I got home at 5pm I went online and ordered one from Eeuroparts. The next morning at 10am I was completely blown away when the Fedex truck showed up with my part. By 10:30 I had it installed and my wife took off shopping.
Great cars, great people!
