Without going into too many details, my wife is in desperate need of an easy to use e-mail encryption program.
The ideal package would encrypt all her messages sent thru a GroupWise account, allow her intended recipients to read her messages without even knowing they were originally encrypted, but prevent snoops from reading them after intercepting the messages.
She has sufficient reason to believe that all of her work e-mail messages are being intercepted and read by one or two managers under the guise of "Employers have the right to open everyone's e-mails". (Random audits yes, 100% surveillance only with a search warrant - my opinion!)
She was very reluctantly elected as Union President for her small Local which is being squeezed for concessions by the management. Nothing she is doing is wrong, but because of her position as union President her e-amil account apparently has been targeted for 100% monitoring. (per the sexist idiot who is the Human Resources Director) Sounds like an invasion of privacy to me, and maybe a violation of Federal Labor Statutes too, and also naivete on her part to not suspect they would do such a thing.
Naturally, none of the program can reside on her employer's servers, it must be 100% on our home machine.
Does this product exist? I found PCP in an online article but it sounded to me as if both sender and receiver needed the program for it to work. But I have been wrong before.....
