I wandered over to the Ohio DMV website:

You are probably looking at two points on your license for 73 MPH. That will likely cost you a bundle on your insurance. However, if you can talk it down to 64 MPH, you won't get any points (less than 10 MPH over in a 55 or above zone). The place to talk it down is with the prosecutor - going into court is a crapshoot. Maybe the cop won't show up, and you'll get off scot free. Or he'll show up, you'll get the full two points and full fine, and burn another day.

The bottom line is that as much as the speeding fine hurts, the insurance hit will hurt more, and longer. Do what you can to avoid the points. And don't assume the insurance company won't find out - they make a ton of money by finding out, so be sure they've got the system figured out.
